Denise Somuah-Asamoah is an undergraduate student at Simon Fraser University majoring in Biomedical Physiology. She works part-time as a Physics and Calculus tutor during the school year and is currently working with the National Blood Service, Ghana for the summer of 2019. She is passionate about positive social change and community building, and in the past has occupied leadership roles in NGOs and student clubs such as FLI Ghana and the SFU African Students Association. She is working towards becoming a biomedical researcher and social entrepreneur. In her free time, she likes to listen to music, try new recipes, and design clothes.
